On 29 May 2012 CASI will host a talk by Dr. Erica Marat on “Kyrgyzstan: A parliamentary system based on inter-elite consensus?” The event is open for public and will start at 15:30 in Room 232, AUCA.
 
 

Let us start from the beginning.
Cheerful shouts “I got in!” filled in AUCA halls and CEC officer after first rout of entry-exams. Over 50 students studying at preparatory courses of the Center joined AUCA ranks.
And this is only the beginning, as many school students prepare for his/her spot in AUCA by attending TOEFL, Essay writing, math programs.

On 23 May 2012 CASI will host a seminar “Kyrgyzstan and Europe: A Relationship Built on Securing Development?” organized by the Europe-Central Asia Monitoring programme (EUCAM) of FRIDE (Brussels/Madrid) and the Karelian Institute (Joensuu, Finland)

AUCA Anthropology Students and Faculty conducted archaeological excavations

The Central Asian Studies Institute has completed the review of proposals for the research grants, and is happy to announce that the following three projects were approved for funding:

International House is a vibrant residence and program center of more than 700 graduate students and trainees representing more than 100 countries. It is perhaps the most culturally diverse student community in all of New York City.
