Erasmus+ National Office in Kyrgyzstan Gives a High Rating to AUCA New Interdisciplinary Program “TALENT”
On October 15, 2020, AUCA “Talent Management and Human Potential Development in Organizations” program presented the results of its achievements as part of the planned monitoring of Erasmus+ National Office. It was noted that the AUCA TALENT team is one of the strongest academic teams in Kyrgyzstan, which participates in the implementation of educational projects of the Erasmus+ network.

Maftunakhon Tokhirova is a junior student of Anthropology department. She came to study at AUCA from Tashkent. Maftunakhon is one of the most active students of the faculty. She recently won the AUCA Alumni Scholarship.

She came to study at AUCA from Tashkent. Previously, she applied for an exchange program and was successfully accepted to study at BARD College, USA. Due to the pandemic, the flights have been canceled and now Maftunakhon is studying remotely. We talked with her about her student life and learned about her best memories at AUCA.

Ethnicity, Nation, and Memory: Local and Global Perspectives guest lecture
The presentation focuses on the linkages between ethnicity and national censuses in the context of nation-building. Using theoretical approaches, historical and contemporary illustrations in a variety of countries, parts of this complex puzzle scrutinized through the prisms of sociology and political science.

The Bishkek Liberal Arts Seminar (BLAS) series invites academics outside of Kyrgyzstan to share their research with AUCA students, typically on topics and using methodologies not currently present at AUCA. The primary aim of this series is to provide an opportunity for students to engage with different subjects and approaches potentially beneficial for their studies and their curiosity.
