On 13-14 October 2025, the Second Regional Dialogue of Central Asian Parliamentarians on Circular Economy took place in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the EU SWITCH-Asia Programme (Policy Support Component) in cooperation with the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC). The dialogue brought together parliamentarians, representatives of ministries, international organizations, experts, and business representatives from five countries of the region - Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

ICP Public Lectures Series: Sovereignty with Chinese Characteristics: Historical Roots of Contemporary Foreign Policy
On September 26, the ICP Department of AUCA organized a lecture featuring Dr. Maria Adele Carrai, Assistant Professor of Global China Studies at NYU Shanghai. Dr. Carrai’s research focuses on the history of international law in East Asia, and she was invited to share her insights with AUCA community.

Environmental Science Summer School for International Youth in Kyrgyzstan
In the summer, from July 12 to July 24, 2025, a select group of high school students from China embarked on an academic expedition to answer a critical question: How do local communities in the heart of Central Asia adapt to pressing global challenges? Set against the stunning backdrop of Kyrgyzstan’s Tian Shan mountains, this immersive Environmental Science program was designed to move learning far beyond the traditional classroom, transforming participants into active field researchers.
