A new academic year has arrived, and with it, the familiar buzz of energy that only comes when our campus fills up again. To every returning student, welcome back — we hope you carry with you the friendships, lessons, and memories from last year as you step into new challenges.

Two packed weeks of orientation have come to a close, and the closing ceremony was held. As in previous days, freshmen spent much of their time on academic sessions. They also learned how to build their own schedules and took part in online course registration for the first time - a genuinely challenging process, but one they handled well.

 

 
On August 18–19, 2026, AUCA, Maker Space hosted the Annual International Conference of the Mid-Latitude Region Network (MLRN) & Third Pole, themed "Designing Climate-Resilient Futures."
The conference brought together international researchers, climate change experts, and representatives from academia, government agencies, and international organizations working in the fields of climate resilience, water security, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development.

This week, the FORUM turned into a stage for STAR ACADEMY, an Orientation Week highlight where freshmen teams wrote, rehearsed, and performed original pieces entirely on their own. Each team was assigned a genre — from circus and fairy tale to musical, theater, talk show, and cinema — and had to bring it to life in front of their peers and a panel of judges.

   Welcome to a new academic year! Vice President for Academic Affairs Chynarkul Ryskulova opened Orientation Program with an inspiring address to our incoming students — a reminder of the opportunities, challenges, and growth that await them.

Yesterday, our freshmen took part in AUCAGRAPHIA'26, one of the brightest, loudest, and most memorable traditions of the Orientation Program.

The Orientation Program 2026 at AUCA commenced on Monday, August 17th, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for 511 freshmen and the entire AUCA community. The first day of the orientation program is always a memorable experience, combining entertaining activities and traditional welcoming ceremonies that set the stage for an unforgettable academic adventure.

Congratulations to our freshmen on your admission! You have worked incredibly hard, completed your entrance exams, and earned your place at the best university in Kyrgyzstan! An exciting journey awaits you, filled with new challenges, projects, and opportunities every day.
